MARCONI Grant Program

Marconi Grant Program

The MARCONI Program Fund

Established through the generosity of Dr. Edward Snyder, W1YSM, and Rose Snyder, the MARCONI Program Fund provides grants to support the goals of the MARCONI Program (Motivating Amateur Radio Clubs to Open New Initiatives). The program promotes collaboration among amateur radio clubs to strengthen the growth, viability, and long-term sustainability of Amateur Radio. Learn more about the MARCONI Program.

MARCONI Program Fund Grants

MARCONI Program Fund grants support partnerships between higher-activity amateur radio clubs (sponsoring clubs) and lower-activity clubs (client clubs). Through these partnerships, clubs work together to develop engaging radio activities, expand educational opportunities, and establish or strengthen training and licensing programs.

Grant funds may be used to purchase radio equipment, educational materials, and other resources that help client clubs increase member participation and build sustainable club activities. Sponsoring clubs may also receive funding to enhance their own radio and educational programs in support of their members and to help engage members of their client clubs.

Grant awards range from $500 to $3,000, with funding allocated to support the needs of the client club as outlined in the approved project budget, as well as about a third of the grant to be awarded to the sponsoring club. The amount available for awards is determined annually by the MARCONI Award Committee based on available funding.

Amateur radio clubs located in the United States and its territories are eligible to apply.

Grant Reporting Requirements

At the conclusion of the grant period, both the sponsoring and client clubs must submit a report documenting their MARCONI-related activities and the outcomes of the project.

Reports should describe the participating clubs, the activities undertaken, and the results achieved. They must also include the number of new ARRL members and amateur radio licenses generated through MARCONI activities.
