All Amateur Radio-licensed delegates and observers to the
International Amateur Radio Union Region 2 conference in Canada in
September have been extended temporary operating privileges for the
duration of the conference.
 
Industry Canada, the country's licensing authority, extended the
privileges.  The conference, to be held in Niagara Falls, Ontario
September 25 to 29, 1995 will have an amateur station, CY3IARU,
operating from September 22 to October 1.
 
The conference, formally called the XII General Assembly of
Delegates, IARU Region 2, is being held in Canada for the first
time, and will be hosted by the Radio Amateurs of Canada.  It will
be followed by a meeting of the IARU Administrative Council.
