Voluntary Communications Emergency Declared
 
All Amateurs are requested to cooperate by recognizing the existence
of a voluntary communications emergency issued by the Engineer in
Charge of the FCC Field Office in Dallas, and therefore
relinquishing the use of frequencies between 3897 and 3903 kHz and
between 3922 and 3928 kHz and between 7243.5 and 7249.5 kHz for the
handling of emergency traffic.
 
According to N5NAV, a District Emergency Coordinator in South Texas,
Health and Welfare traffic nets have been established in response to
the bombing incident in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  The net
frequencies are:  7273 and 7290 kHz (daytime) and 3873 and 3935  kHz
(evening).
