ARLB008 Reinhardt selected as PRC chairman

ARRL President Jim Haynie, W5JBP, has appointed Jeff Reinhardt,
AA6JR, of Agoura Hills, California, as the 2003 chairman of the
League's Public Relations Committee. Reinhardt is also Public
Information Coordinator for the ARRL Santa Barbara Section and
Public Information Officer for his local club.

"The vision of the PRC's work is one of relevance, immediate impact,
working to a long-term objective while maintaining the ability to
respond to timely opportunities," Reinhardt said. He said his first
order of business is to schedule a committee conference call to
discuss the group's priorities.

Committee members provide advice and counsel to the League's Media
Relations Manager. Members also perform any other tasks as may be
decided by the Media Relations Manager or the Board of Directors.

Haynie named West Gulf Division Vice Director Dr. David Woolweaver,
K5RAV, to serve as the Board of Directors' liaison. ARRL Media
Relations Manager Jennifer Hagy, N1TDY, will continue to work with
the committee as staff liaison.

In addition to a long list of accomplishments and community
activities, Reinhardt serves on the Agoura Hills City Council and
was recently elected as mayor.
