Organization Description

The Kitsap County Amateur Radio Club (KCARC) is an amateur radio public service organization and an American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Special Services club. The KCARC is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a Non-Profit Charitable Organization, holding 501(c)(3) tax exempt status. The KCARC was founded in 1982 as the North Kitsap Amateur Radio Club with about 10 members. Since then, the club has grown to over 100 members spanning the entire county and renamed to capture the true scope of our membership. Our club’s focus is on the ‘Hobby’ of amateur radio allowing us to support all facets of amateur radio.

Mission Statement

To provide an atmosphere to support those interested in the hobby of amateur radio. KCARC aims to accomplish this through, community engagement via education, support, and events, along with forming lasting relationships with community leaders and organizations. The KCARC promotes the continuation of the amateur radio hobby with a focus on our youth.

Vision Statement

KCARC looks to be the largest and most community engaged and connected club in Kitsap County. KCARC aims to take lead on regional goals related to amateur radio in partnership with other clubs and organizations in the region. With a focus on our youth, KCARC looks to provide opportunities to those that would likely not be aware of amateur radio or communications technologies.
