ARLX006 RSGB celebrates its 90th anniversary

The Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB) celebrates its 90th
anniversary July 26-27 with a series of ''Party in the Park'' events
across the United Kingdom. Each of the society's 57 UK districts has
been invited to organize an event to demonstrate Amateur Radio to
the general public.

In addition to these public demonstrations, some districts will
operate special event stations using the GB90RSGB call sign followed
by the RSGB district number. A special 90th anniversary award is
available for those making contact with or monitoring any GB90RSGB
stations.

GB90RSGB operations began July 12. Details are on the RSGB Web site
at www.rsgb.org/rsgb90/award.htm. The RSGB also published a special
anniversary issue of the society's journal RadCom to commemorate its
90th year.
