This week's bulletin was made possible with info provided by Joe,
NJ1Q, Frank, AH0W/OH2LVG, Jari OH2BU/OH7RF, Chris, G4BUE, Johnny,
LA5IIA, Roger, LA4GHA, and Contest Corral from QST.  Thanks to all.
 
BENIN.  LA-DX Group members LA9IY, LA4GHA and LA5IIA will be on the
air September 16 to 26.  The call sign expected to be used during
this DXpedition is TY8G.  Besides HF, OSCAR 13 mode B will be
featured.  For CW check 1827, 3515, 7015, 10115, 14005, 18075, 21005
24895 and 28005 kHz.  On SSB try 1841, 3755, 7055, 14145, 18145,
21185, 24945 and 28455 kHz.  RTTY will be mostly on 14085 kHz.
Satellite operation will be on 145.895 MHz, listening up.  QSL via
LA8G, PO Box 5626, N-7002 Tveita, N-0617 Oslo, Norway.
 
MV ISLAND.  After a three and a half year long hiatus, MV Island
returns to the air with the help of ops OH1KAG, OH2BU, OH3KCB,
OH3MEP, OH3MMF, RA3AUU, RU3FM, RV6HY and RA3AUM.  The DXpedition
will start September 21 through Monday the 25th and feature
all-bands/modes, 4 stations, and 24 hours/day operating.  Listen for
the call signs R1MVI and OH2BU/MVI.  An entry in the CQ WW RTTY
Contest is planned.  The team will use full size verticals on 160
and 80 meters.  For CW check 1831, 3501, 7001, 10101, 14025, 18069,
21025, 24891 and 28025 kHz.  On SSB try 1845, 3795, 7045, 14195,
14295, 18145, 21295, 24945 and 28495 kHz.  RTTY should be on 14084,
18104, 21084 and 28084 kHz.  QSL via OH2BU.
 
TUNISIA, 3V.  YT1AD will sign 3V5A in both CQ SSB and CW Contests.
 
VIETNAM, 3W.  Rolf, SM5MX, has returned to Hanoi and will be QRV as
XV7SW again.  QSLs for his previous operation are being processed
and mailed.  Fellow Swede Torsten, home call not supplied, is also
QRV as XV7TH.  And Franz, DF5GF, is licensed to operate only on
14016 and 14295 kHz as 3W6GM.
 
MADAGASCAR, 5R.  Ben, 5R8DS reports that his XYL Marian, 5R8DY, has
returned to the Netherlands, but he will be QRV until November 1
when his contract with Radio Netherlands ends.
 
MALDIVES, 8Q.  JA0BYS and JA9PRJ will sign 8Q7BY and 8Q7RJ from
September 26 to 30.  QSL via home calls.
 
MALTA, 9H.  9H3BKS plans to be QRV October 21 and 22 with CW and SSB
on all bands, including VHF and UHF.  QSL via 9H1FG.
 
OMAN, A4.  Tony, G4KLF, will sign A45ZN over the next two years.  He
will also operate from club station A47RS on CW, SSB, RTTY, AmTOR
and packet.  QSL via Tony Selmes, PO Box 981, Muscat, Sultanate of
Oman.
 
FERNANDO DE NORONHA, PY0F.  AH0W and WA7LNW are planning a
multi-single entry in the SAC SSB Contest September 23 and 24.
 
EGYPT, SU.  Mohamed, SU2MT, will be on the low bands this Fall and
is looking for skeds on 160 meters.
 
MARSHALL ISLANDS, V7.  V7/AL7EL plans to be active October 18 to 25
with an emphasis on the low and WARC bands.  QSL via his home call.
 
FALKLAND ISLANDS, VP8.  Mark, VP8CSA, aka ZB0T, will be QRV for 5
months.  QSL via DL1SDN.
 
ASCENSION ISLAND, ZD8.  Jim, N6TR will sign ZD8Z September 29 to
October 8.  Check 33 kHz up from the band edge for his CW, as well
as 21150 kHz.  QSL via VE3HO.
 
EASTER AND SyG ISLANDS.  XR0Y and XR0Z have been very active.
Remember that DXpedition members are collecting signal report data
for propagation studies.  Honest signal reports are requested.  QSL
both via WA3HUP.
 
AZORES, CU.  Matthias, DL3KUD, will sign CU2/DL3KUD October 3 to 17
with an all band CW effort.  QSL via DL3KUD.
 
SABLE ISLAND, CY0.  VE1CBK and company will be QRV September 30 to
October 10.
 
KERGUELEN ISLANDS, FT8X.  Jean Jacques, FB1LYF, aka J28CW, will
start a one year operation in November as FT5XL.  He will operate
all bands, CW, SSB, RTTY and RS-12.  QSL via F5NZO.
 
THAILAND, HS.  HS0AC is no longer in operation from the Bangkok
Science Museum.  The license has been transferred to the recently
refurbished HS0A at the Asian Institute of Technology.  Listen for
HS50A in the CQ WW contests.  Some Thai operators will sign HS7AS in
these contests.
 
JAN MAYEN, JX.  LA4CJA and LA3EX will sign JX4CJA and JX3EX
September 28 through April 15.  They will be on 80 through 10 meter
CW and SSB.
 
JORDAN, JY.  Bob, WB9YXY, will be active October 3 to 20 as JY8XY on
CW and SSB.  QSL via his home call.
 
QSL NEWS.  The ARRL Outgoing QSL Service can now forward cards to
Uganda, 5X, and Mali, TZ.
 
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO.  SHF enthusiasts will want to check out
the ARRL 10-GHz Cumulative Contest.  Event specifics are on page 113
in July QST.  HF types can get in on the North American Sprint and
Scandinavian Activity Day.  For more info on these two events, see
