8 FEB 2016 was the date of my first NPOTA acitvation near Pike Lake State Park where the Ice Age National Scenic Trail passes through the SE part of Wisconsin.  My rig FT-857D running 60 watts on AGM battery power into a Hustler mobile resonator atop a Outbacker Tripod.  I made 118 contacts on 40 and 20 meters.  I had many visitors including a park ranger who took a photo for the newsletter of "Friends of Pike Lake".
