07/07/2006 | WR4MG Well the MGRA had another field day this year. We had alot of firsts this year at field day: first exam session, first time we operated all radios through the night, first satellite demo, first injury and first time over 1000 contacts. At the test session we had 2 new hams and 1 upgrade. We started out very well on saturday with a strong showing until the bands went south. Later on in the evening starting around 9PM, we were going full throttle again. At our dinner on saturday we had a great crowd. There was a lot of people thet helped this year and especially to all that operated this year all night. Special thanks to N3FJP because his software make having a great FD very easy. -- AE4XO
