2006 ARRL Field Day

07/03/2006 | NE7P UBET ARC setup its Field Day Station at the Rest Stop on I-15 just north of Brigham City, Utah. Bob Anderson, AA7TR, setup his station in side his 30 foot 5th Wheel Trailer. Bob operated exclusively PSK-31 on 80, 40 and 20 meters. Bridger R Burt, KD7ILE, worked PSK-31 for several hours and made many good contacts. Bridger also spent a lot of his time working on his dad's radio. Brian Chapman, KA7MOA, and Brad Farnsworth, KE7DJQ, spent some time learn about PSK-31.

Steve Keene, NE7P, setup his station under a canapy during the day. But in the evening and on Sunday he setup camp inside his horse trailer. He worked SSB on 80, 40 and 20 meters. Laron Woods, NO7C, Deloss Everton, W7TEU, and Steve's two sons helped Steve most of the day. Deloss Everton, W7TEU, setup a solar panel and collected enough power to run Steve's station for several hours.

Dennis Burt, AA7DB, setup his station next to the 5th Wheel Trailer. He worked SSB on 40 meters. Many others came by and helped Dennis out with making contacts or logging.

Bob Haynie, KC7JOK, setup a demo of APRS and monitored the UHP as then drove around the county.

All in all it was a great Field Day for the UBET club. -- AA7TR
