2006 ARRL Field Day
North Brevard A.R.C. started setup at 7 A.M. with Breakfast prepared by KE4NUZ. Location was at the clubs emergency communication station in Mims, Florida.
Setup started 9:30 A.M. by setting the tower trailer in position to hold a 4 band 40, 20, 15, 10 meter Inverted V for CW operations. Coax was run into the clubs emergency communications station. The HF rig was hooked to a 3 element monobander for 20, 15, and 10 meter operations. The monobander was raised to 50 ft.
Our club is small with only 24 members 10 are active, field day we had 8 members participate.
The Grill was fired up and I (N6USP), grilled the hamburgers, hotdogs, served with bake beans, potato salad, chips, ice cold water, & pop. The club supplied everything for Field Day.
We had a Field Day visit by our Brevard County Florida, Emergency Coordinator, Ray Kassis, N4LEM.
It was one of our best Field Days we have ever participated in. Our members are looking forward to next year.
