2006 ARRL Field Day

07/01/2006 | N1XB These pictures show the Field Day 2006 setup that my Dad and I had for this years event. We ventured from New Hampshire, just over the border to the top of Vermonts Hogback Mountain (Elevation 2410 Feet). There we operated under external battery power, running two stations.

My Dad, N1UD, operated his FT-857D using an ATAS-120 antenna mounted behind the cab of his truck. I, N1XB, operated my FT-897 from the back tailgate to 15M and 20M Hamsticks. We both ran approximately 50 to 75 Watts for the contest.

In those times of relaxation from the contest, we were able to use our gas stove to cook up some lunch and coffee.

Overall we enjoyed this Field Day and were very grateful for getting permission to operate from this excellent location; we cant wait until next year.

73s,

Steve, N1UD and Matt, N1XB -- N1XB
