2006 ARRL Field Day

07/01/2006 | N9HR The Watertown Amateur Radio Club Field Day was a blast. It started off with KA9OIF erecting two old Army masts and runing a dipole between them. It is always interesting to see how this erection takes place. John (ka9oif) has this process down pat.

N9HR, Tom made several phone contacts. NF9V, Rudy was on the CW key and made several contacts as well. The radio they used was conected to a 204' G5RV. This was the first time the club used this antenna during Field Day, and it worked real well.

Our members are looking forward to next year.

Many thanks to WB0WRJ, Doug and XYL KC9FCV, Donna for being this years' hosts. -- K9LUK
