07/01/2006 | W9AXD We had a lot of fun for FIELD DAY. We were located at the Roland Olson Park in Roscoe, IL. There was 5 stations set for CW, PSK31, SSB, and ATV. All around us were tents, campers, and Bar-B-Queing. At least we at a shelter, because it was raining most of the time. The weather may have dampened the ability or desire of the media coming out, but not our spirits. There was about 30 operators, and some guests. Still we, were mentioned in the news. When it was over, and we were trying to tear down, a huge storm came by and just really SOAKED us all. Best fun of my LIFE! -- KC9DNN
