06/28/2006 | KL7EP The Best Field Day ever for the North Central Missouri / Grundy County ARES Club station. as so far as friends, chatter and food, wish we could have made more contacts but strong thunderstorms lingered just to our west all day and that caused a lot of noise on the bands making it hard to copy much of anything.

we were operating on 6m, 10m, 20m, 20m PSK31, 40m and 80m


we also had a lot of trouble with being heard.. we could call station after station and hardly be heard, but we could hear fairly well between static crashes.

Rain forced us to shut down a few hours early, all and all much better than last year. -- KB0RPJ
