06/14/2006 | W5MPC I sure had a great time with the contest and worked quite a few new grids and states. Conditions on Saturday were amazing! Sunday here wasn't nearly as good though. I did manage to get one QSO on 2 SSB and one on 430 SSB (my first contact ever on 70cm) both with W8FR just down the road a way. I'm looking forward to the September contest and plan on making some improvements to the antennas. The 3 element beam for 6 did a really great job, but the 5 element LP for 2 and 440 needs to be put up a bit better. I learned in this contest though that my next equipment purchase might have to be something to replace the "Armstrong" rotator hi hi. -- W5MPC
