2006 ARRL June VHF Contest

06/12/2006 | K2MET We were working again this year with our antennas at the highest point in New York City (Ground Level @ 350ft ASL /Antennas 60ft AGL).
Also this year, we had Andy KC2GOW (age 15) working with us. He was the primary CW op at the 6m station and made rounds through the other bands/modes with everyone else.

We worked an incredible amount of 6m stations as well as a decent amount of 222. We were set back by a number of issues on 2m which kept our contact number low but did pull of a dozen or so grids. Hope to do better next year. To all those who tried to work us Saturday night on 432 and couldn't, sorry :) I found out Sunday morning that the 432 rotor was 40 degrees out of alignment. OOOPS.

Ops: ED W2SN, Mike KA2AEV, Andy KC2GOW, Bob N2ZWW

Tnx to Tony N2XVC, Bruce KA2VJD, Barry KC2HBJ and all others who assisted in setup/breakdown.

See you next contest.
