01/27/2006 | K8ZIZ This years January VHF SS got off to a slow start in EN81 . Conditions were poor in our area for the whole contest . We did work alot more FM contacts on both 2m and 70cm this time around . Into the evening we had a full sked on 6m wsjt which every station was a successful contact . The weather was supposed to be on the damp side then turn to freezing , but turned out to be a nice day out . Worked many of the locals , but also lacked alot of calls that we logged in the Sept contest . This time around we ran 6 / 2 / 432 SSB and also 2 / 440 FM , hope to be QRV on 222 for June .
