2006 ARRL January VHF Sweepstakes

01/24/2006 | N6ZE/ROVER This year's VHF SS operations were different than for the past few years:

At work, I operated from 1700 - 2400 UTC on Saturday on 2.5 meters at 38,000 ft. (Oops, can't count that!)

When driving home from LAX airport, I made some QSOs on 6,2,70 from DM03 & DM04 with my mobile rig. 6m: 4Q/1G; 2m: 16Q/5G; 70cm: 6Q/2G = 320 points. Worked stations from DM12 to CM94 on 2m. Winds were starting to kick up from a High Pressure Cell located in NV; Propagation conditions seemed poorer than standard.

On Sunday, I operated with KQ6NO/6 as unlimited multi-op from South Mt., just South of Santa Paula, CA (DM04) -- N6ZE
