than a RTTY Contest.

A large part of Curacao lost commerical
power on Friday night and was still off
Saturday morning. Rumors around the island
sounded like a sub-station had caught
fire and we would be lucky to have power
at all over the weekend.

Fortunately, Geoff W0CG and the Caribbean
Contesting Consortium have a nice portable
generator there. I decided to run Low Power
and conserve generator fuel, it was probably
a good idea as the commerical power was not
available for most of the weekend.

The conditons were great, and I was very pleased to
make 1,549 contacts on Low Power. I was especially
pleased with the numbers on 15 and 40 meters.

But, it just goes to show how good the PJ2T antenna
farm and location really are.
