2006 ARRL Straight Key Night

01/22/2006 | NT4XT This year I was bestowed the pleasure of operating THE key I used during the first QSO I ever had in my life. It was summer 1977 with my unlce's J-38 which he let me borrow, just like he let me borrow (he was control op) his callsign, then WB6BWZ. That was many years ago when I was a few months away from obtaining my own Novice callsign.
Always a pleasure, paying our respects to the past, as we look ahead and move into the future.
Looking forward to next year.

73,
Darin, NT4XT

PS:
Best Fist heard:
WA0SAP, Dave (I was probably sleeping when W9ZN was QRV, and Dave had a very fine comparable fist!) And worthy of mention KG4LDD, Steve had an awesome couple exchanges with me where he was in the zone and did great!).
Most Interesting QSO:
Nate, W2NAF. My first SKN Q, a senior in college on an attic dipole. Always a wonderful occurence, hearing our future enjoying CW, staight, electronic, bug, or other! Rock On, Nate. -- NT4XT
