01/21/2006 | WB6CGJ I broke out my classic Kenwood TS-520, and my vintage Ambassador telegraph key and ushered in the New Year making straignt key contacts with K7HP-HANK, K6KSG-DICK, K7DU-GEO, KG6TH-AL, WA6EKR-DAVE, W8FDV-JIM, and W6GLP-JERRY. It was a very special surprise to find KA7SKN-BRYANT in the 40 meter novice band. Straight Key Night represents within Amateur Radio, one of its oldest traditions. That is, the enjoyment and art of sending and receiving hand made code. I'm looking forward to SKN 2007.
