01/08/2006 | KF9AQ This was my first SKN that I worked. I had a great time, did not make many contacts, but enjoyed the long qso's with the stations I worked. I used my Kenwood rig for awhile until I decided to use my old but reliable Heathkit HR-1680/HX-1681 CW RX/TX with my not so old NYE Viking straight key. I haven't used it in many years. I made a few contacts on it until the power supply started to stink up the ham shack. Turns out one of the capacitators in the supply broke down but will be replaced very soon. Looking forward to the next SKN.
