My first SKN. 2005 was my first year licenced at that. I listened a bit and decided I couldn't hack it. Then I listened a bit more and decided I couldn't hack it. Then with a few hours to go, I warmed up the Apache and the R392 and had at it anyway. Three QSOs in the Novice portion of 80 metres were as much CW as I'd done in the two months previous - I keep thinking, despite having easily passed Element 1 back in July, and having worked 30 and 40 metres CW from time to time since, that I can't hack it. Now I think I'm getting the idea.
If you hear a slightly drifty, slightly confused 7-10WPM signal somewheres around 3710 kc on some random evening, it might be me. -- KD8BSR
