12/14/2005 | W1JCJ My S.O. thought I was an insane recluse when I mentioned that I would be spending the bulk of the weekend holed-up in the shack. After Friday night's poor conditions and few QSO's, I was beginning to agree and thought about yielding to the pressure to go xmas shopping.

But 10m never fails to amaze; after punchy QSB condx on Saturday morning, many openings to the west and southern hemisphere came through. On Sunday at ~1900Z we had a solid opening to ZL6 land; heard two but only worked one. I had no luck reaching Europe or Africa beyond the Azores and Canary Islands.
