12/12/2005 | KA5KLU Enjoyed the 10 meter contest don't have to jump bands. I was surprised here in South Texas how open the band was. Only worked about 10 hours of the contest but it was fun. Like to thank all of those who gave me a contact during the contest. Really surprised to work ZL4BR and EA8BH wasn't expecting 10 to be that good. South America was booming here into Texas as usual. Only states I didn't hear was those next door. You could sure tell how the propagation swung around. I'd be bringing in contacts hot and heavy from northeast then later in the day it swung around and CA and Northwest
began to flow in. A very fun contest and plan on doing it all over again next year. Hope the band will be as good. 73's//Doug -- KA5KLU
