11/21/2005 | KI0DI Another enjoyable SS, despite the poor propogation. No 10 meter contacts this year, but I still did better than last year, mostly due to upgrading to Extra in September. There are really quite a few QSO's available at the low end of the phone band, and it's slightly less crowded making things easier for us low power stations.

I also learned that it is possible to make contacts on both the East and West coasts of the US using a full size horizontal 80 meter loop 20 feet above the ground. However, it may not be a pleasant experience for you or the station you are calling. Thanks to all who dug out my signal.
