11/07/2005 | WA2BTR My first ARRL VHF contest. Operated from my cabin on a lake in Maine (FN54). Took a little while to get used to the non-Sweepstakes type action. Still had a blast though especially with the early Sunday morning Au which provided a number of contacts. (first Au Ive ever heard) Needless to say, Im hooked and the wheels are already spinning for January '06but I'll be home in NJ for that one! 73's -- WA2BTR
