10/11/2005 | WA2IID/R A really great contest. The weather was perfect for roving. Not even any bugs around like there usually are. The opening on Sunday evening was a real bonus and a great way to finish up! Our score was our best yet for the September contest. The only problem we had was the loss of the 3456 station Saturday evening. It is always a tough balance of weather to take away operating time to try to repair, or just let it go. We let it go, but after we got home discovered it would have been an easy fix. Oh well. Anyway our major objective was indeed achieved (having fun).
