09/16/2005 | N5TIF Had my best score ever for the Sept contest. The activity here in North TX was up from last year. Was surprise on hearing so many rovers out there with the gas prices what they were. Got to say thanks to these guys who go into grids with little or no activity.

Late Sunday had a great 6m opening to the East an North East. Best contact on 6m was VE3OIL/R FN04 right at 1300 mile thanks guys. At 01:34 worked N2DX/R on 6m in EM12 asked were is every one was and I said right here on 6m. The other bands were like a gost town I tried to call on 2m but no luck.

Got a few things to improve on for Jan contest hope to have it all done by then. See you all in Jan. -- N5TIF
