The consensus is that we had our most successful Field Day ever, and everyone had a great time.

As the tent went up on the lawn of the Horton Point Lighthouse, and the tri-band antenna rose, PARCs Field Day site began to take shape. In the absence of Don Fisher, N2QHV, the operation was overseen by Pete McGreevy, K2HF and Jim Baker, W2NSF. This was Jims first PARC Field Day start to finish and he pronounced himself impressed by the way various members busied themselves in the disparate tasks, from power to grounds to antennas to BBQ grilles to food to ! The Queen Mary from SIARA rumbled into place across the road and their mast went up. Howie Malones big Honda generator arrived and despite Robertas comments that the truck was being unloaded at the wrong spot. (Pete pointed out that the Honda had wheels.) a crew wrestled it to the ground. As Roberta persisted, Pete explained that it was a guy thing. Promptly at 1400 hours, Saturday, June 23, the call CQ-Field Day echoed in the tent and the logging network computers began to accumulate QSOs. -- WA2JPJ
