07/21/2005 | W1R This was the first field day that the CTRI Contest Group had done in many years and it was a great sucess. We operated as a 2-alpha station from Crandall Field Park in Hopkinton, RI. We obtained special event callsign W1R ("Whiskey One Radio") for the primary field day stations and used our club call WA1RR for the GOTA station. A lot was learned from our FD 2005 experience. FD 2006 will be even better! -- AA1PL
