We were located on the side of Table Mountain near Ellensburg at 5K feet. Great location for radio! Antennas in the tall trees and a 1000ft cliff to the south and east. Too bad the K index was so high. Conditions were poor and we were forced to run 100W instead of the 5W we usually run from the K2s. Even though the conditions were poor, the view and beautiful location more than made up for it. See the attached picture of Jake KE7DTE, the newly licensed general with his brand new FT857 and solar array! It doesn't get any better than that.
