07/14/2005 | W5YA This year at our 9,000 foot high New Mexico site we hosted a guest from Rhode island, John - K1JD. We and the mountain did everything we could to show him (and his wife, Betsy)a good time. The mountain delivered magnificent views, big game, trout fishing, and the traditional lightning storm, up close and personal. A bow and arrow put effective fixed gain antennas up in the ponderosa pines, and the equipment worked flawlessly. What a good time! Fred - KT5X and Steve WD9FJL -- KT5X
