07/12/2005 | KC8WIT Field Day 2005 Was a Fun,90+ Degree Weekend. Huron County Amateur Radio Society,KC8WIT was setup at Huron County EMA. BIG THANKS to Bill Ommert EMA Director & Tina Horton Deputy Director for Letting H.C.A.R.S. use the EMA for Field Day.

This year we had a Family that got a chance to work FIELD DAY for the first time. Bob,KC8WKQ,His Sons Cody,KC8WTY and Jacob,KC8YAN did a lot of HF work and really like making contacts with other Field Day Operators.Cody,KC8WTY Stated that this was a great time and is going to work on getting his General Class.

New Amateur Operator Jeff,KD8AJK Tried his hand at making satelite contacts. Kerry,KC8GEM working contacts on the VHF Bands was a little tough conditions not to great for VHF.

The Old Phone Pros Danny,KB8STK,Clay,KB8DNA,Howard,WB8OBW worked alot of Stations on the HF Bands making Phone Contacts.

The Old CW Pros Harold,N8HPD,Steve,KG8BT,Dave,KB8K had the CW Paddles smoking(thought we needed to put a bucket of water to cool off the paddles and operators HiHi)
