07/11/2005 | W9DK The W9DK Mancorad Club in Manitowoc County Wisconsin operated throughout field day from Manitowoc Silver Creek Park.

Of special interest was putting our TA33-Jr, a 2m vertical and a CCTV Camera up at 110 ft on a hydraulic boom crane provided by a local construction firm!

The views from the camera definately were a hit! On 2m simplex 2x QSO's with Chicago (160 miles) were easy. Though not logged for FD is we were able to key-up and use repeaters in Canada, Michigan and Illinois.

A seperate Digital Station operated from the other end of the parking lot, using an R7 on a portable tower with drive-on baseplate.

A great time was had by all. Visitors from the local & county governments, police forces, served agencies and members of the community were a great hit!
