2005 ARRL Field Day

The Baccalieu Amateur Radio Klub once again invited the Marconi Radio Club of Newfoundland
to join them for Field Day. Members of the Avalon Radio Amateur Radio Club also dropped by.
Here we see members of all three clubs: Len VO1YS, Mike VO1RYN, George VO1NK, Roger
VO1HD Boyd VO1CBS and Darrel VO1MDS. We had a 6 metre, CW and SSB stations as
VO1BRK 3A NL. We all had a great time, reminiscing about the good old days and feasting
on crab legs, moose steaks and enjoyed luxury accommodations thanks to VO1RYL, VO1HD
and VO1CBS and even copied a 1750m beacon using ARGO. VO1RYN passed traffic to the
SEC Rick VO1SX. EC VO1CBS was the chef and the NL SM was the waiter. We had visits from
several prominent amateurs across the section.
