06/27/2005 | W1QWT The Scratch and Sniff Radio Club operated at "BBQ Park" in Scituate and we ran 5 watts and were powered by a solar charged battery.
It was a lot of fun. The operators were: W1QWT, K1NOK, K1CWS, NS1N, KC1HO, N1EY, WA1YKF, N1ZZN, and KB1TOM.
We even had a site visit by the Scituate Fire Department. The 20 meter dipole we put up worked well. Ofcourse the highlight was the socializing around the BBQ Grill. Good food, good friends, and good radio. -- W1QWT
