07/11/2005 | N9KC/R Caught a nice 6M opening from north of Denver in DN70. I was surprised how well the little halo antenna worked. Also had several unexpected 10GHz QSO's and lots of activity on all the bands. Drove through parts of KS, NE, and Colo. These contests are always a learning experience, and this one was no exception. Next time I'll find a better way to secure the rigs, especially microwave transverters etc. All-in-all it was a great contest. -- N9KC
