07/11/2005 | XE2K This contest is very interesting, i like the 6m Band over all others, but after the 4C2X operation in 2004, i enjoy a few very nice qso's in the UHF bands , for that reason i will improve my station and the equipment to get more QSO's in those bands, during this 2005 effort i was only using 6m, the other antennas are no ready yet, with only 6M to operate i check with all my 4 antenas for diferents possible openings , the conditions was not like past year, only a few minutes during the saturday and was all, some stations show up and disappear in a few minutes, openings to diferents areas, i was especting a miracle but not, just a few VE7 and VE6 to contact outside US during a few minutes, but i add a few more grids to my record, next year i will look to get a better spot in the near mountains in DM22 because Mexicali at 100F Deg at 12 ft below sea Level is not the best spot for this test.
