07/10/2004 | W4BKD The Chipola Amateur Radio Club had an excellent time in the 2004 Field Day activities. We held the event this year at the Jackson Co. EOC in Marianna, Florida, and used the club call W4BKD. In addition to the radio activities, both phone and CW on 80/75, 40, 20, 10, and 6 meters, we had a fish fry for all who attended. Those who operated the most are listed, others came and went. Our Field Day chief was W4ICU Alec, Club President KD4AST Ricky, K4KHV Jimmy, K4WAL Will, WO4J Jeff, K4JSH Scott, Danny KG4NDR, KB4ZJT Bill, KB4AAC Wayne, W4MMA Todd. The weather was rough the first few hours but it cleared and the antennas went up. We didn't set the woods on fire with points, but we had a very good time and are looking forward to next year.
