07/03/2004 | N9BGC My Field Day experience was 100% positve. I was not out to score points. My goal was to learn more about the radiation pattern of my bi-directional antenna system. What better way than with thousands of stations on the air and wanting to make contact. I could only work about 6 hours as a "1-D". In that time I made contact with 35 states from Maine to Alaska. The "footprint" of my new bi-directional antenna was confirmed, and I re-kindled an enthusiasm for operating. What more could I ask?
