07/02/2004 | WD9EWK For the fourth year in a row, I did another 1B/1-op/QRP effort from Flagstaff AZ. With nice weather, 25 degrees cooler than home in the Phoenix area, I enjoyed Field Day 2004.

I made 81 SSB QSOs in about 7 hours, almost half of them on 15m, and even a few up on 10m. I worked as far away as New Hampshire, Puerto Rico, and the USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor - all with just 5 watts from an IC-703 and a low 40m dipole. Once again, I'm looking forward to the next Field Day.
