01/02/2004 | W3CEI Another Straight Key Night has come and gone, but not to be forgotten.It was nice to hear all the activity on the band (I worked 40 meters) Thanks to all the CW operators who brought out their J37, J38, Western Electric, E.F.Johnson circa1970,Bowman Spark key, to join with my Nye Viking circa 1965 to make common sense out of a series of dots and dashs. The current trend may be to delete or dimish the need for the code but it seemed very clear that the faithful will hold steady to the relaxing rhythm and verse of CW. -- W3CEI
