01/02/2004 | N8XMS Family activities and football games kept my operating time to a minimum but I was still able to enjoy 7 SKN QSO's on 40 meters with my SST-40 QRP rig. As always, it was a lot of fun. I especially enjoyed working WN9U who had a really great fist using a heavy vintage key designed for spark! I also had one of those great "QRP moments" during a QSO with someone who was running 200 watts. His reaction of "Wow, that's amazing" to my report of running only 2 watts gave me a chuckle. -- N8XMS
