12/17/2003 | KB4QLZ Conditions were not as good as last year. Friday night only worked about 20 stateside stations, and a couple in the Caribbean. Saturday KB4FWN and KG4RTA came over to work some. Picked up a few in Europe, and more states. Saturday night we had an ice storm. Sunday morning the beam was totally frozen, SWR was sky high. Switched to an Inverted V. At 2PM the beam finally thawed. Wound up with 47 States and 50 Countries. -- KB4QLZ
