2003 ARRL Field Day

07/02/2003 | KE4RX The Roane County Amateur Radio Club had a grand time operating from Fort Southwest Point in Kingston, Tennessee. What a view from the Kingston Steam Plant towers to the convergence of the Tennessee and Clinch Rivers to the fort itself!

We had 12 operators sharing 7 transmitters and although the bands were challenging, we enjoyed Field Day 2003 as usual. We also had many visitors including hams and non-hams. Our youngest was Jack Stooksbury - 14 months who got to enjoy his first Field Day along with his brother Michael - 6 years who has never missed a Field Day operation! Many thanks to all the operators, family, friends and visitors who made our Field Day 2003 such a great success! -- KW4JS
