2002 ARRL 10 Meter Contest

01/04/2003 | K4ZA W3LPL let me become an F-1 junkie for the weekend. Thanks, Frank! It
took three hours to drive up to his QTH after work Friday, & I simply
decided to do CW because the station was still configured for code from CQWW (I normally do mixed mode from N4ZC's place, but work has brought me back to PVRC-land).

The contest started slowly, & conditions seemed definitely "worse" than usual. But Saturday's EU run perked me right up, then the JA opening seemed entirely too short. By quitting time that night, I thought 2000 QSOs might be possible, but had no hopes for working SC. Sunday's EU run surprised me. The band opened quickly--solid signals on the stacks all at once. Then, the JA opening--it ran for four hours, with rates right at 130/hour. There's no meters like 10 meters!

Tnx for the QSOs.... -- K4ZA
