This year the 2023 ARRL Field Day was on June 24 and 25. I spent Field Day with the Superstition Amateur Radio Club. About 45 club members attended. We used the call sign K7K for the event. The Superstition Club is located in Mesa, Arizona and is really great club! We have lots of events and we are always helping each other out. We traveled up to the Arizona High County Northwest of Payson. The location is called “Lost Eden” which is about 5 miles west of Route 87. No water or electricity, so we brought water and used solar to keep our batteries charged. The weather was 80F during the day and cold at night about 40F. I used my ICOM IC-7200, ran a 100 watts with a Bioenno Battery, and a Buddipole 15-20M Vertical Antenna at about 29ft high. The club did pretty good and ended up with about 400 contacts on CW and 300 contacts on phone.
