| Hello, I am looking for a recommendation on a radio for a newbie. Not licensed yet. Have taken the prerequisites ans have started self-study. A few questions: 1) Can I buy a radio now (unlicensed) just to listen in and become familar? 2) Budget is 1k or less. What do you recommend? Don't mind spending more so not to upgrade later.
